EXPLAINED ANSWERS:

1. (a) The books are kept here.

[Keep, simple present tense ആണ്. ഇതിനു തുല്യമായി passive-ല്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് am/is/are + past participle of verb ആണ്. Kept-ന്റെ passive verb ആണ് was/were kept. Am/is/are keeping എന്നതിന്റെ passive ആണ് am/is/are being kept. Was/were keeping-ന്റെ passive ആണ് was/were being kept.]

2. (c) is

[Seventy kilos എന്നത് ഒരു യൂനിറ്റിനെ കാണിക്കുന്നതിനാല്‍ singular verb ഉപയോഗിക്കണം. ഉടമസ്ഥാവകാശം വരാത്തതിനാല്‍ has ഉപയോഗിക്കില്ല.]
